On January 12th, 2011 Andy and I found out we were expecting our second little bundle of joy. It came a little bit as a shocker but the more the merrier! We also took our first snowboarding trip up to Mammoth the following day with the DenMeyerSteins plus taylor and tessa and of course Garrett. The ride was a little rough, Payten cried most of the way, so we had to make plenty of stops. We finally made it there 8 hours later and it was beautiful, so much snow! My Dad got a cute little pad right next to the slopes in walking distance, we actually could somewhat snowboard into the house from the slopes ( with a slight off the grid detour). This was Payten's first time in the snow and she though it was so fun, she would stomp around in her snow boots and make a squishing sound with her mouth imitating the sound the snow makes when you walk on it. I was even more excited because Misty was able to come since it was our weekend and we took her skiing for the first time, she did great! Andy and I got to enjoy some alone time kid free and hit the slopes for two days. It was so much fun, I've never been on a mountain so big with so many runs. I don't think we did the same run twice.
