Spring is here

Spring is here and the flowers are blooming, I love this time of year! The weather keeps playing tricks on us and can't decide if it wants to be hot or cold. We've been spending alot of time at the beach, playing outside and in the backyard. Payten just loves the water and can't get enough of it! I thought she would be scared of the ocean, but nope she just charges right in (lucky me). Looks like I am going to be spending the whole summer in my third trimester chasing after her. I bought the kids a play pool for the backyard, which has been keeping us nice a cool on the random hot weeks. We've gone to the spectrum a few times and let the girl run around in the fountain they have by the food court. We've celebrate a couple birthdays in March Grandpa Jerry's, Auntie Kelsey's and Bailey's. We took the kiddos to a pirate show with Kelly and the boys for Bailey's birthday. It was really cool and the kids enjoyed it alot. Payten is getting so big and talking up a storm, in the last 2 months she has really grown some teeth, 4 molar at 14 months old and now at 15 months old she has her canine teeth coming in. She has been sick alot in the last month with little colds here and there, doctor says its because I keep putting her in kids club at the gym. She just loves kids club, which is good for me. She gets so excited and starts laughing and running up to the door when we walk into the gym, I like that she is getting interaction with other children. Misty is such a big girl now, she's such a great helper when it comes to being a big sister. She's growing up so fast, I feel like every time I see her something about her changes. She is almost finished with 1st grade! Here are some pictures of what the family has been up too.

New pregnancy and Mammoth

On January 12th, 2011 Andy and I found out we were expecting our second little bundle of joy. It came a little bit as a shocker but the more the merrier! We also took our first snowboarding trip up to Mammoth the following day with the DenMeyerSteins plus taylor and tessa and of course Garrett. The ride was a little rough, Payten cried most of the way, so we had to make plenty of stops. We finally made it there 8 hours later and it was beautiful, so much snow! My Dad got a cute little pad right next to the slopes in walking distance, we actually could somewhat snowboard into the house from the slopes ( with a slight off the grid detour). This was Payten's first time in the snow and she though it was so fun, she would stomp around in her snow boots and make a squishing sound with her mouth imitating the sound the snow makes when you walk on it. I was even more excited because Misty was able to come since it was our weekend and we took her skiing for the first time, she did great! Andy and I got to enjoy some alone time kid free and hit the slopes for two days. It was so much fun, I've never been on a mountain so big with so many runs. I don't think we did the same run twice. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Payten first birthday!

I can't believe my little girl is One! She is such an amazing little girl so full of life, love and with so much energy! I We celebrated Payten's first birthday (January 27, 2011) at Disneyland with Nana, Kelly and the boys and of course Mommy. Daddy had to work but he meet up for dinner at Rainforest Cafe along with Misty, Grammy, Auntie Kelsey, Auntie Tessa and Uncle Garret. We had a blast a Disneyland going on all the little kiddie rides, Payten would push her way through the line and I found myself chasing after her most of the day. Kelly bought her, her first cotton candy and boy was that a sticky treat! We had a great dinner, Payten had a little bit of everything chicken, pizza, pasta and veggies. They brought her a little ice cream sunday that Misty enjoyed shoving each bite into her mouth. So with a great day coming to an end and present to open at home, Payten decided to throw up all over herself in the car. I of course started freaking out because I was alone in the car and I thought she was chocking, I pulled over and made sure she was okay and cleaned her up with my sweat shirt. Of course when I need wipes they are in the other car with Daddy. At first I though it was from Misty feeding her to much ice cream but when the throwing up lasted all night and through the next day I knew it was her first time with the 24 hour flu. It was terrible because she couldn't tell me when she needed to throw up, so of course it would end up all over me, the floor, the couch ect. I think I changed my clothes at least 4 times in one hour. Then the next morning I ended up getting it at 6 weeks pregnant, so here we are both throwing up on the couch. Not to fun. We celebrated with a medium sized party at my parents house 2 days after her actual birthday. We had a pretty good turn out which consisted of family and friends. Payten and I were still a little under the weather but we made the best of it. We bbq and my mom and Misty spend the day before slaving over cupcakes, chocolate covered treat and decorating. With out there help, due to me having the flu, I would have never had such an amazing party for Payten. I think she slept for 3 hours of her party but I managed to get her up for the pinata, cake and presents. I did most of the opening and she just enjoyed playing with all the presents once the wrapping paper was off. She got some cool gifts, the big ones were a mickey mouse car, a pink car ( like the flinestones), a toddler sports jungle gym with a slide, a swing for our swing set in the backyard, a piano, lots of clothes, books, many other toys All in all it was a birthday that I will never forget!
