So I haven't update in a while sorry :(. The Meyer family has been very busy over the last week with all kinds of fun! We 've had Misty since last Friday for our vacation and still have her up until this Monday the 26th. This past week I have been driving Misty down to Coast Hills Community Church everyday to attend vacation bible school where she engaged in water activities, worship, arts and crafts and learning about Jesus. This camp inpacted and changed her life forever, Misty accepted the Lord as her savior on July 22, 2010 and Andy and I are very proud of her making such a big commitment at only the age of 7! Woo hoo go Misty! I will post pictures of camp once I get them from my mom, she was Misty's camp leader. This past week Misty also celebrated her sister Lacey's 1st birthday on Wed and we let her spend time with her other family and attended Lacey's birthday party last Saturday, we visited with my Nana (Misty and Payten Great nana) and went swimming with cousions, we also spent a few days running around in the sun with Auntie Kelsey,Kelly, Jayden and Baily, spent sometime making family dinners together, going to the spa, miniture golfing, and washing the cars with Daddy,a sleep over at Nana's, and to top it off Misty went to see the play Beauty and the Beast with my parents. Now lets not forget about little Payten! This week Payten has enjoyed her time with her big sister, she just loves Misty and can't get enough of her. She also spent a few hours with Grammy, went swimming, got a new toy and enjoyed playing in the sand at the beach club. Payten is constantly laughing, she's moving around even more than last week, she eating like crazy ( waking up every 2 hours at night to eat, lucky me), she can hold herself up on her knees for a couple seconds, and I found her in the sqwat postion holding onto a drawer handle. I am trying to incorporate formula into her diet but not having much luck, everytime I do she gags and spits it out but I am trying to stay postive about it. Andy and I finally got a date night on Friday after many months with out one, we went to sushi and saw the movie Salt. We had a lot of fun, its been a while since we had alone time to bond with each other and catch up. Overall its been a great week and we are looking forward to another great weekend spent with family.

My little girl is growing up so fast!

Payten is growing up so fast, she's so full of laughter and smiles. She laughs at everything, today I caught her cracking up at a tag on one of her toys. I can't believe she is already 5 1/2 months old, man time goes by so fast. She is moving around so much these days and I'm guessing she will be crawling in the next 3-4 weeks. Here are a few pictures I took playing at our home in Tustin.

Tampon and a Diaper

Payten is not as amused by her toys these days, so I have to find other means of entertainment. Hahah I thought it was funny.

Happy 4th

The Meyer family had a layed back 4th of July weekend spent with family and freinds at the Denham household. We relaxed in the sun, played games, bbqed, talked and enjoyed the fireworks from my parents balcony. Saturaday night, Misty had her very first sleepover with Angelina and went to a concert at the park. On sunday, Misty ran around all day with Jayden, got married, had two babies (Kelly and I became grandparents for the very first time) hahaha and had an awsome time playing in the pool! Payten enjoyed swimming in the spa and being passed around amoung new faces. Both girls came down with minor colds but are recovering quickly (payten's first cold) :(.

Peaches or Peas

Lately, I have been trying to introduce a few new foods into Payten's diet. She really likes baby food, I think eating baby food makes her feel like she's one of the big girls. I started feeding her with Andy and I at dinner time because she would get so mad when she couldn't have a taste of our food. I almost felt bad eating in front of her, like we were teasing her or something. Anways, her new favorite baby food is Peaches by far. I thought she liked bananas the best but then I introduced peaches and it's a whole new ball game. She screams, smiles, laughs and slobbers all over the places while eating peaches. She just can't get enough of the peaches, she grabs at the food jar and spoon wanting more. Her leasty fav at the moment is peas, her face just cracked me up when I tried to make her eat another bite. Here are some pics of feeding time can you guess which are peaches and which are peas? haha

Oh the joys of summer

Yesterday I decided to take Misty and Payten for a play date with Jayden and Baily at the beach club. It was lots of fun, the beach club is perfect for children of all ages. It's a pool that only goes about knee high (on adults of course) and it's surrounded by sand. The kidos had a blast soaking up in the sun, playing in the water and building sand castles, Payten even joined in on all the fun! Nana and I traded off turned taking her swimming, she laughed, smiled, kicked and splashed her arms around in the water, we even taught her how to float on her back! Which I guess probably wasn't that hard considering all the chubs she's got going on at the moment! Her new found skill had some observers pretty impressed and they commented on how surpised they were at her swimming skills for being only 5 months old. Payten also enjoyed her first mouth full of sand, first minor sunburn which is now a tan ( I swear I lathered her up good 4 times) and a delicious blue popsicle that Misty decided to share with her. All in all it was a great day in the sun, here are a few pictures from our day!
