Little Daisy, you will be missed!

Jan 25 little Daisy went missing, she was my parents loving and adorable shitzu. It was around 6:30 pm and my parents were out in the backyard working out, the dogs were out with them running around. My mom's last memory of Daisy that night was when she was laying down on a mat doing her crunches and Daisy and Monte where smoothering her with kisses on her face. My parents finished their work out and went across the street to meet the new neighbors. My mom came back in the house around 7pm and went to feed the dogs, this is when she noticed that daisy was gone. In a panic my parents split up, my Mom taking the horse trails and my Dad the streets. Daisy never really wonders far when she gets out, so it was odd that she wasn't coming when they were calling her name. My parents searched for two hours..asking neighbors and people walking and running the streets of Nellie Gail in search for their little dog. One walker said that their neighbor had heard a dog yelping and that they saw a coyote. My mom also talked to a runner on the horse trail that said she'd keep a look out. I got a call from my Mom that night and she was very upset, it was now dark and they had'nt found Daisy. Daisy was out on her own and a week prior had just had surgery to remove her uterus and had been very sick. My Mom had been force feeding her and she was finally recovering and acting like her noraml spunky self. The next day I decided to go over and help my Mom post signs and look for her or remains of her on the horse trails. Another to give us a sense of closure or hope. While posting signs we ran into the runner from the horse trail, the runner said that about 5 minutes after talking to my mom she ran into a coyote on the trail and that the coyote jumped over a 6ft cemente wall with ease. After hearing about two sightings we started to lose hope. We decided to check out the trail that the runner saw the coyote on, we searched it but nothing. Then we can up to a revine with a huge rock and a bunch of trees and I noticed three little cub coyotes wrestling around in the shade, my mom and I looked at each other and we just knew in our heart that Daisy wasn't coming back. The mother coyote must have hopped the fence while my parents were working out in the backyard and snatched days right under their noses. Really people how else can you explain how she disappeared for the backyard with out a trace? My parents had checked all the gates and theres was no way she would have be able to get out on her own. Poor daisy, a helpless little dog just living her life and enjoying her time outside was taken from her home and dinner for a family of coyotes, this just breaks my heart. My mom send out an mass email to all her friends and we found out that she wasn't the only one heartbroken over a missing pet. Two of her friends had lost their animals that were in their backyards, and another family had 5 of thier dogs killed (one being a big dog) in their own backyard by a coyote, all within a week. Another friends was walking her 2 dogs and came across a coyote on the horse trails and the coyote would back away, her and her husband had to turn around. My heart goes out to my family and the other families who have lost their pets in Nellie Gail, who would have ever thought that a coyote would beable to jump over a fence and eat your pet? This just creeps me out that our own animals aren't safe in our yards and that there is a pack of coyotes just feeding on our loved ones. Whats next our children or an attack on a person, these coyotes don't seemed to be threatended by us or scared. Daisy was like losing a child to my parents, and I am sure that alot of people can relate. We need to take action and have these coyotes removed before they taking someone else pet or hurt a human being. Daisy you will be missed, I loved you so much and my daughters loved you too. You were so sweet and couldn't hurt a fly, we will miss all of your kisses expecially the kisses on the toes and up the nose, we will miss how you would just lay down when you were bad and were so submissive, we will miss your little bark and cuddling with you on the couch, we will miss talking you on walks to the park and just the fact that you were one of a kind. I know you are in doggy heavon with Bently and we will see you again someday. You definetly arn't replaceable and we weren't ready for you to leave us. Mom and Dad I love you and i'm so sorry about your baby, i know it's a hard time for you both and I am hear for you always. I know that God will being you peace and comfort you during your time of grieving.
We are still looking for in hope that there is some chance that the coyotes didn't get her, so please if you live in Nellie Gail keep your eyes open. Dasiy is about 8-10pbs, white/ gold and she super sweet!

June 27th,2010 Hello!

So I finally decided to start blogging about our family because I always have people asking how Payten and Misty are doing and how I like being a mother. I promise to keep updated pictures of the kids on here and let you know when something exciting happens. Our lives have been pretty hectic the last week with me losing my job, to custody battles, and Andy starting down a new path. Payten is exactly 5 months today woo hoo! She weighs in at 16.4lbs and is now sitting unsupported, rolling back and forth, and turning in circles on her stomach. She grabs at everything she sees and puts just about anything she can get her hands on into her mouth. She is eating baby food a couple times a week, her favs are bannans and carrots and her dislikes so far are peas :(. She is very vocal these days (like her dad)and has decided to be stuborn not take the bottle. This has been challenging for me because I can't leave her with alone with anyone. I got a few suggestions from others, so I decided to go out and buy a few different types of sippy cups which she seems to like for the moment. I love being a mother it's such a blessing, Payten is growing so fast right before my eyes. It seems like yesterday that she was my little 6.6lb baby that I brought home from the hospital. It's just so amazing to watch her learn and do something new each day, she's such a happy, smiley and smart baby. I'm thinking she got the Andy/ Jerry genes, at least I am crossing my fingers :). God couldn't have blessed Andy and I with a better or more perfect child. Misty just graduate Kindergarten and is going into first grade and is also appraoching her 7th birthday this August. Misty just lost her 4th tooth and is really enjoying being a big sister. Payten already looks up to her and trys to mimic her.
