Tis the Season to Be Jolly!

Here we are in December, wow time flies. Payten is walking evey where and so excited to be off the ground. She just roams around and laughts, sometimes she goes so fast that she falls, but she gets right back up and keeps on going! She is getting another tooth on the bottom and lost two lbs. She likes to pretend to talk on the phone and enjoys waving bye bye and giving high fives! I've enter Payten in the KIIS FM Cutest Holiday Baby Contest, so make sure you vote! Misty is getting tall and has her grown up teeth all grown in, in the fron,t and has gained 10lbs since her birthday! This weekend we are decorating the house with our christmas decor while Dad puts of the tree and we wait patiently to decorate it. This Christmas season is so much more exciting since it is Payten's first, we can't wait to watch her open all her gifts and meet Santa for the first time! Yesterday, I spent the day taking some Christmas photos of the girls and my parents, I thought they turned out really cute so I decided to share a few on here. Also, I posted a couple new photos of the girls, enjoy!

I haven't blog in FOREVER!

So much has happen since the last time I've blogged! Payten has 4 teeth, two on the top and two on the bottom, but the biggest new is that she is walking at 9 months old! She took her first few steps to Misty at 8 1/2 months. Payten is so full of energy and such a happy baby, she loves talking and playing with anything that isn't hers. I can't believe how time goes by so fast, it almost seems as if she isn't a baby anymore now that she can walk, which makes me sad but so excited to explore this new adventure with her. Payten gets into everything, her favorite things to do right now are to jump on the couch, pull all the laundry out of the basket, throw the ball to you and pull everything out of the cupboards. We celebrated Payten's first Halloween, she was a purple and pink butterfly. We had Misty for Halloween which made it even more special, Misty was Bell from Beauty and the Beast. We celebrated by craving pumpkins and enjoying the block party at the Denham house hold. Grammy Kathy joined in on all the fun and trick or treated with us. Nellie Gail sure gets alot of trick or treaters and gives out some good king sized candy bars!
Andy and I have been busy working and trying to keep up with bills, but we did sneak away for one night to Santa Barbara for our 2 year Anniversary. We went wine tasting and it was much needed and very fun! The next day we went to six flags, which was so much fun, there weren't any lines! Lately, I've been working on my new business. I got my resale license and am now a dealer for getpapered.com my link is www.courtneyloraydesigns.getpapered.com, which has over 10 lines of stationary, gifts, holiday cards, wedding invitations, part invitations, birth announcements and so much more. I also have my own website www.courtneyloraydesigns.com where I my own custom designed holiday cards. Please feel free to check it out!

Payten's getting her first tooth and she is crawling backwards

Payten has grown up so fast this week, we can finally see her first tooth coming in on the bottom left and she is crawling backwards and almost crawling forwards ( I give her a week)! This is super exciting but also makes me kind of sad because she is doing all these new things and I miss the old things but this is all part of growing up! She is pulling herself to standing position on just about every piece of furniture we own and pulling herself to the sitting position as well! She is so happy with her new found skills, she used to get so frustrated trying to figure out how to go from the belly to sitting. I just can't believe how much she has changed in just a couple of days. Now that I think about it she is 7 months old today! WOW!! Payten also said her first word this week, and I am proud to announce that it was "Mama"! She will reach her arms out for me and say MAMAMAMAMA, my heart just about melted when I first heard her say my name. She is just the cutest baby and I am so blessed to have her has my daughter, everyday I spend with her I fall more in love with her than the day before. Payten has graduated from the infant bath tub into the big girl bath, she enjoyed her first big girl bath with her Big Sis misty and is now sleeping in her crib in her room (not the whole night yet but hopefully soon)! New foods Payten's been indulging in are noodles, crackers, tofu, cheese, breads, fruits and veggies.

Birthdays Birthday and more Birthdays

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile my life has been super hectic in the last couple weeks, I've been preparing for Andy's surprise party that was fantastic by the way! He had no clue and the look on his face was priceless. A little about the party, it was a Hot wheels party and it consisted lots of beer pong, a pinata that Andy punched and broke before we even got a chance to hit it, chili cheese nachos, presents and two yummu peanut butter chocolate cakes made by Kathy. It was so much fun and I had so much unexpected help from friends and family, so thank you everyone! Also, in the last 4 weeks we have celebrated Tessa's, Carl's, Tayler's and Marsha's birthday and coming up we have Misty's birthday (she's going to be 7) and growing way to fast. We are having a pool party for her and I think it was a good choice since the weather has finally decided to be warm like summer should be. Here are a few pictures from the parties

My girls, I am so proud to be called their Mother :)

Yesterday, Payten got a really big ouchy on her finger :( The stroller wasn't snapped down all the way and her little index finger got pinched and stuck. She was screaming and I was screaming because I didn't want to just pull the finger out. I did manage to get the finger out but her finger nail was all purple/red and she cried for a good 10 minutes while my Mom and I iced it. I'd have to admit that I cried too because I felt so bad, I wanted to take her pain away and I couldn't, it was one of the worst feelings in the world. Now on to a happy note,Misty had her first sleep over at our house last night with her friend Angelina and I'd have to say it went better than I thought it would. The girls jumped on the trampoline, played some games, watch a movie in Misty room while in there sleeping bags inside a tent and then fell asleep with out me even having to tell them to go to bed! Thumb up for the first sleepover :) Payten also spent the night in her crib in her room for the very first time, only lasted about 3 hour, but it's a great start to a new beginning! Tonight the girls took a bath together, it was Payten's first time in the big bath tub and she loved it!

Payten got into some trouble

This week Payten got into some trouble, I think its self explanatory.

Family Picture by Kelsey Steindler, more to come!

Above it a family photo shot by my beautiful and talented sister Kelsey. Kelsey was nice enough to take some family photos for us at a near by park. Here is one of the photos she took and I will blog the others when I get them from her.

Cant Believe Its Already August

This is Payten at 6 MONTHS AND ONE WEEKS

Wow I can't believe it's already August, this summer is flying by so fast! It honestly doesn't feel like summer because the weather has been so weird, normally August is so hot, but I guess it's a good thing that its been a more mild summer for Payten's sake. We haven't been up to much the last week just rearranging the house a bit and I have still been trying to get Payten to take the bottle and formula, she just doesn't want to have any of it. The other day I was determined to find some type of formula that she would like, so I went to Babies R Us and got just about every kind of formula that you can try in a liquid form. I tried Similac and she took it right away and drank 4 oz not even mixed with breast milk! I was shocked, it was a great day and I was so excited. I thought that the problem was solved and that the formula /bottle battle was over, only to find that the next day she hated it again...uggg..oh well. Anyways, besides that Payten is doing great, she is getting her first tooth and is a very happy baby! Misty we haven't seen much in the past week but we get her for 7 days this week so I am sure that we will have much more to blog about next week. Andy and I took Payten to the Orange county fair for her very first time, we were so excited to show her all the ride, food and games. Our goal was to come home with a huge stuffed animal for her, but those games a sure hard and we didn't have much luck!Mommy did win her a little purple fish and Daddy won her two tiny weany little baby whales, and when I say little I mean little! Aunt Melinda and Uncle Mike were also in town this week so we enjoyed a little dinner and some ping pong with them Sunday night, it was lots of fun and good to catch up with them. Here are a few pictures from the fair

So I haven't update in a while sorry :(. The Meyer family has been very busy over the last week with all kinds of fun! We 've had Misty since last Friday for our vacation and still have her up until this Monday the 26th. This past week I have been driving Misty down to Coast Hills Community Church everyday to attend vacation bible school where she engaged in water activities, worship, arts and crafts and learning about Jesus. This camp inpacted and changed her life forever, Misty accepted the Lord as her savior on July 22, 2010 and Andy and I are very proud of her making such a big commitment at only the age of 7! Woo hoo go Misty! I will post pictures of camp once I get them from my mom, she was Misty's camp leader. This past week Misty also celebrated her sister Lacey's 1st birthday on Wed and we let her spend time with her other family and attended Lacey's birthday party last Saturday, we visited with my Nana (Misty and Payten Great nana) and went swimming with cousions, we also spent a few days running around in the sun with Auntie Kelsey,Kelly, Jayden and Baily, spent sometime making family dinners together, going to the spa, miniture golfing, and washing the cars with Daddy,a sleep over at Nana's, and to top it off Misty went to see the play Beauty and the Beast with my parents. Now lets not forget about little Payten! This week Payten has enjoyed her time with her big sister, she just loves Misty and can't get enough of her. She also spent a few hours with Grammy, went swimming, got a new toy and enjoyed playing in the sand at the beach club. Payten is constantly laughing, she's moving around even more than last week, she eating like crazy ( waking up every 2 hours at night to eat, lucky me), she can hold herself up on her knees for a couple seconds, and I found her in the sqwat postion holding onto a drawer handle. I am trying to incorporate formula into her diet but not having much luck, everytime I do she gags and spits it out but I am trying to stay postive about it. Andy and I finally got a date night on Friday after many months with out one, we went to sushi and saw the movie Salt. We had a lot of fun, its been a while since we had alone time to bond with each other and catch up. Overall its been a great week and we are looking forward to another great weekend spent with family.
